The day has finally come and the months (or years) of wedding planning is coming to fruition!
Whilst everything has been planned within an inch of its life, its important that you prioritise your day for you as a couple and stay present in the moment so you can enjoy your day. So here are our top 10 tips for your wedding day.....

1. Morning preparations are under way and you are in full flow with your bridesmaids/groomsmen. Keep a little Emergency Kit to hand so you are prepared for every eventuality. Essentials can include:
- Safety pins
- Tissues
- Needle and Thread
- Mints
- Plasters and pain medication
2. Make sure you eat and drink. A good hearty breakfast even with butterflies in your tummy from the excitement will set you up for the day. Maybe plan a continental breakfast to be delivered to your preparation area so you can nibble a few bits as the morning progresses. Nobody wants a lighted headed bridal party walking down the aisle!
3. Have a timeline but be flexible with it. No wedding is the same but every wedding will have something that generally takes things off time. This is ok and don't panic. Leave it to the professionals to get it back on track without it ruining your day. Minor timescale blips are not the end of the world in the grand scheme of your big day.

4. Prioritise your Photos and Film. Believe me, your day will fly by in a second and at the end of it the only things you have left are the photos and film (and possibly a fuzzy memory if the champagne has been flowing!)
Make sure you dedicate as much time as possible to your photographer and wedding videographer. These will provide you with the key memories of your day that you will be looking back on for a lifetime.
5. Spend time with your guests. The drinks reception is a key time for this. You may be whisked away for your photos and wedding film but give yourself enough time in the afternoon to mingle with your loved ones who will be keen to share in the excitement of your day. You could opt for a formal receiving line or make time to go around each table and talk to your guests.
As a South West Wedding Videographer, we are there to capture all of the beautiful memories you have planned and help keep your day on track......so enjoy your day and get in contact if a wedding film will add to your experience.
