Filming a wedding at Eastington Park

What is it like filming a wedding at Eastington Park?

The short answer is, filming a wedding at Eastington Park is truly a pleasure. Since 2007, I have been capturing weddings as a Bristol wedding videographer. I have been lucky enough to film at some magnificent venues in the South West. Eastington Park is one of the top venues in Gloucestershire. An exclusive venue means it is truly yours without any outside interference. This enhances my filming and storytelling as I know all the guests at the venue are a part of the wedding day.

My morning normally starts 3 hours before the ceremony. While the venue's exterior is quiet, it's a perfect opportunity to use my DJI Mini 5 Pro drone and capture some aerial shots. Bridal prep tends to take place in the main house, but occasionally, I visit the cottage to capture the bridal squad. As for Groom prep, I either see him in a room or, if ready, as he arrives. I capture the final dress shots and the reveal shot of whoever is accompanying the bride up the aisle. The best bit about Eastington Park is that you can get married indoors or outdoors. As a result, each wedding is a joy to film, unique and personal to the couple.

After the wedding, the fun really begins with the drinks reception and canopies provided by Berry Blue Catering. The grounds at Eastington Park are fabulous, making it easy to capture beautiful footage. From the pathway running up the garden to the swing, the pagoda, and the archway, the opportunity to capture romantic moments is endless. If the weather is miserable, 'Plan B', the indoors will not disappoint. The Stairway is a great location, with the added benefit of being able to capture from above. It doesn't matter what the weather is like, an Eastington Park wedding film will always feel timeless, elegant and full of genuine emotion.

The Speeches & Evening Reception

I capture all speakers and provide each with a small microphone to ensure high-quality audio. I can therefore position myself near the back or one side of the room, ensuring all guests have a good view. This is another reason why I keep my word about being natural and discreet. After the speeches, there is an hour for the room to change around for the evening reception, and this is one of my favourite parts of the day. This is my opportunity to get special guest messages from family and friends. Whether they congratulate you, offer advice, or tell a story, these messages become very sentimental and make perfect keepsakes.

The party starts with the bride and groom's entrance into their first dance. I capture the first dance in full, and sometimes guests will be invited onto the floor to join the happy couple. This definitely adds to the party as the Band or DJ begins their first set; the dance floor is packed, and the party vibes are electric.

After the Wedding Day

My day of filming may be concluding, but that's only the start. I have roughly 20 hours to edit all of the footage and make it into your bespoke wedding film. The process is quite enjoyable as I get to relive the wedding day. I have my creative experience to produce a film that is emotional, heartfelt and a memory that will be treasured forever.

While the main Eastington Park wedding film can range from 60-90 minutes, I also produce a 5-6-minute highlight film perfect for sharing on social media.
